Hello everyone! Welcome to Be Creative #81! This week I found a relatively simple pop art tutorial. It uses the neon glow filter which I have never played with! You can find the tutorial HERE (http://www.entheosweb.com/photoshop/pop_art.asp). I found this works best with simple images. Have fun and looking forward to your creations!
The small print for the challenge is ……

Here is my attempt. I did not use the posterization filter, instead I turned a picture of dandelions in to a sketch. Then after applying the neon filter I beveled each square and added drop shadows.

Mostly followed the tutorial but changed some of the colours with blend modes and did some layer flipping. Fun one. Thanks for the play :)

Tammy, thanks for another BC! I followed the tut, but used the Find Edges filter instead of the Poster Edges one. Lots of fun!

Thanks Tammy ... that's fun! It works pretty well on the quadrants of one photo as well.

This was simple and fun. I filtered each image before copying it onto the background. On my first attempt I had four copies of the original image copied onto the background, but then found my artistic filter was greyed out and I couldn't filter any of them. It was easy to do before pasting though, and I wasn't in a hurry :).

Hi Tammy, Thanks so much for the tutorial. I've always wanted to try this and didn't know how! Lot's of fun. Did it just like the tutorial except upped the contrast at the end and added the motion blur frame.

That was fun! I love these challenges because the end result is always a surprise!
I picked a foreground and background color and applied the neon glow. I then switched those colors and applied them to the image in the opposing corner. Added a little symmetry. I then added a pattern adj. layer, set to soft light (opacity of about 65%) to add a little texture.

Tammy, thanks for the tutorial. This is my first time to use the neon glow filter - and I really like it!

I like the filter even if it isn't applied to the pop art arrangement of 4 blocks. I found that duplicating the neon glow layer & using different blend modes creates interesting results. (Photo from EZ55 challenge.)

This has really been fun! I did another using a brush I adapted (I put new heads on the flowers and a few more extras) and used black as the foreground color when applying the filter

Got a chance to play with this one today. I had problems picking the colors that would show a good image. I ended up going back to each one and did a hue/sat adj till I got what I liked.
