Hello!
Does anyone know how to permanently turn off the nag screen that pops up periodically asking if you want to set up online backup? I find it annoying that even after you select "No - I don't want to use online backup", it comes back periodically.
Thanks for your help!

Where do you get those messages about online backup...in Premiere Elements 7 or when you are in your Photoshop Elements 4 Organizer?
Did you sign up for the free Photoshop.com membership when you purchased your Premiere Elements 7?
In Premiere Elements 7, under Edit Menu/Preferences/Backup Synchronization, do you have "Backup/Sync Is On" checked or unchecked?
I signed on for that free Photoshop.com membership, never bother with it though, nonetheless left "Backup/Sync Is On" checked under Premiere Elements preferences, and am never bothered with the messages that you describe.
Have you been creating albums or collections in Photoshop Elements 4? I am wondering if albums or collections creation in a Photoshop Elements version is triggering that message since Photoshop.com appears to deal with albums or collection in its online backup procedure.
You could also explore Premiere Elements 7 Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing and uncheck the "automatically check for services", but I am not if that would cut off your online Help as well as the commercial messages.
Please let me know if any of this helped.

I am also constantly nagged about the backup, have not found a way to turn it off yet. If I figure it out I will be sure to post the solution.

If you have not done so already, maybe follow up on some of my posted thoughts in my reply and see what happens.
I am still getting pop ups from Adobe/Kodak et al. with Photoshop Elements 3 that I still have installed along with the more recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements.
Of course, there is the "forever" pop up when you click an effect in Premiere Elements or a video tutorial in photoshop.com only to get a message "to view upgrade to photoshop.com plus". That is just business, I guess.

I get them in Premiere Elements 7
Did you sign up for the free Photoshop.com membership when you purchased your Premiere Elements 7?Yes, I think I did, but I haven't used it.
In Premiere Elements 7, under Edit Menu/Preferences/Backup Synchronization, do you have "Backup/Sync Is On" checked or unchecked? It is Unchecked. However, there is another check box labelled "New Albums will backup/sync automatically" that is checked and it won't let me uncheck it. Bummer. :)
Have you been creating albums or collections in Photoshop Elements 4? No, I have PSE4, but I rarely use it.
You could also explore Premiere Elements 7 Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing and uncheck the "automatically check for services"Ok, I'll give that a try.
Please let me know if any of this helped.
ATROk I sure will. Sometimes, I open a project several times before it comes back so it will be a while before I know for sure if I did something that stops it from popping up.
Thanks again for all the help!

Jim,
I am still thinking that they are getting to you through the Organizer. For Premiere Elements 7, I favor my idea of (in the workplace area) Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing as the way in for them.
I do not know the setup for Photoshop Elements 4, but in Photoshop Elements 7 in the Organizer there is another way in. In the Organizer, Edit Menu/Preferences/Adobe Partner Services as the way in for them. If Photoshop Elements 4 Organizer has a similar setup for this, it might be worth looking into.
