My Mac Mini has 4GB RAM installed. In PSE 6's Preference Settings it indicates that only 3GB of RAM is available, and by default allocates 70 percent of that for use by PSE 6 -- a total of 2.1 GB.
I understand the recommended 70 percent of RAM setting (so that there is plenty to go around to the OS and other apps), but why is PSE indicating only 3GB of RAM available out of 4GB installed? Thanks.
