Hello all, I am a new user to Premiere Elements. I basically use video rendering software to produce 30-60minute videos for my church and its various events. For the last 8 years I have used Ulead VideoStudio, upgrading each year, but this year I am transitioning from Ulead to Adobe. (Hooray!!! And there was much rejoicing...)
My question is: Are there Audio Packs and Theme Packs that you can "upgrade to"/"add on"?

Your questions specifically ask about upgrades/add ons for audio and theme packs for Premiere Elements 7. Have you looked at what Premiere Elements 7 has to offer?
1. Smart Sound Quicktracks feature (see icon above Timeline) and some chat in a recent thread here
http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?p=450189
2. Movie Themes that can be accessed via Edit Mode (Orange Tab)/Themes Tab. These pre-created Movie Themes can be edited and thus customized by you. Make sure that you work in the Timeline View so that you can see the types of files that the Movie Theme places to achieve the given theme. Then customize away.
Premiere Elements 7 comes with a free membership in Photoshop.com. Those offerings are limited. And, you are constantly frustrated by finding something there that you like and end up with a message that you need to sign up for Photoshop.com Plus (the non-free version) to gain access to it.
BUT, if you do sign up for the PLUS version, that route offers the best likely route for finding those kinds of add ons to Premiere Elements. I seen reports that people signed up for the PLUS get year around extra content. Check it out.
Please let me know if I have targeted your question. If not, we will look into this some more.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I believe you answered by question accurately. I was aware of the 'contained packs' w/in the purchased software; however, I did not know that that the photoshop plus membership offered other themes/audio packages.
I will look into it and see if it is worth the annual membership fees.
Thanks again!

Also check the music and backgrounds available at http://muvipix.com
A much larger selection for less $$.
I work on a media team that produces a few videos a week for our church, it is a great ministry. You can see some of our work here

Thanks for the sampling of the videos that you and the video team produce for the church. I will give them a look and comment further later.
I always meant to ask if your site is really a go between site for any of those reported Premiere Elements and/or Photoshop Elements "extra content" CDs whose mention you see scattered online in various web sites?

We own all of our material and produce much of it ourselves. We have purchased the resale rights to some of the motion backgrounds and some of the royalty free music, other than that everything is produced by the people at Muvipix.com
We have produced material that is being sold as Premium Content at Photoshop.com
in exchange for advertising on the site and recognition, just like Lynda.com and others have. Other than that no one else has the material that we have. There are other tutorial sites, other music sites, other sites that sell motion backgrounds, but no one else has everything combined in one place like we do :)

I think that you really over read my question.
I was specifically asking about a Premiere Elements 7 "extra content" CD which is supposed to exist if one reads some online sites. I would need to dig up the link, but I remember seeing one post suggesting that your site may be one of the sources for this alleged Premiere Elements 7 "extra content" CD.
At first I thought that the person was referring to something on the Premiere Elements installation disc. When I found this not to be the case, I always meant to ask you about that. This current thread that we are in reminded me of my postponed question, so I asked here since it was on topic.

Thanks alot Chuck. I appreciate your input and your tutorials. In fact, they are one of the 'few' reasons that I've counted worthy of the $50 membership fee...but I'm still poking around looking for nuggets of gold:p

I was hoping that the information would surface about this supposed Extra Content CD. I guess not.
I will keep looking for other possible sources for the extra content that you described.
However, after reflecting on the matter, I would add this for you to check out about Photoshop.com (the most likely candidate right now for supplying what you are looking for):
1. I believe that the membership is available in the United States only.
2. Since that "photoshop.com plus" membership runs around $70/year, and since their primary focus seems to be having you share your photos online, and since there is an uncertainty factor related to just what they offer in extra content for the price,
a. check out the following link to find out from users who went the PLUS route, just what they got for their membership fee besides more space to upload to and how frequently and useful the "extra content" aka "free stuff" was/is.

Depending on what is or is not out there with regard to add on movie themes, you might want to re-consider and customize (personalize) the ones in the program pre-made by Adobe.
To be continued,
