Keeping duplicates from being uploaded

Have used Elements 4 for several years, when you load pics into it the duplicates are not copied....not so with 7, is there any way to set it so that duplicates are not put in.

I also can't get the help screen to come up in the organizer???? What's up with that?

Thanks so much for the link and the quick answer...I am busy reading your stuff and fixing some problems....I miss the PSE 4, I had gotten so used to it and now this is making my brain warm, but I am trying. Thanks again.
