Hello all;

I've got several thousand pictures on my XP computer and I've been fooling with a demo version of Lightroom. This is working well and I'm very familiar with windows and the directory structure containing the photos.

I just bought elements 7 because of the cost and to see if it can do everything I need with my family photos.

Elements installed easily, and I did an import to get my pictures from disk. I pointed to the parent directory of my photos, and off it went. It found 7000+ files, and imported them. All of the thumbnails flashed by as they were imported. Once it was done, I Can't see any of the pictures. I tried to import again but of course it tells me they are already imported.

Is there an FAQ for beginers you can point me to?

ps - i tried a search but didn't find anything.

Thanks

So I just read a post about someone who does not use the organizer. I am VERY familiar with windows xp and how my directory structure works on my computer.

What's the best way to look at a a list of photos in a direcoty in order to choose one for editing in elements 7?
