New Video Tutorial

Today I watched the new video tutorial "Designing With Shapes" at Photoshopelementsuser and just had to try it. This is my first attempt. It did not turn out so well--I'll have to try again (maybe with another shape). Has anyone else tried it? If so, any advice?
(The frame is a pattern fill I made. I'm somewhat obsessed with making them)

I think you did a great job on your photo! I decided to play a little with it. Instead of a "shapes" edge, I went for a "torn" edge.

I like your torn edge better, Johnny. I was thinking of trying other shapes or filters to get different effects.
But I haven't yet because....
I've been playing with the two newest tutorials that Wendy posted (text effects) and haven't done much else. They are really fun-especially the filter effects!!

I think that the designing with shapes takes a few attempts at finding the right shape to go with the right photograph so don't give up just try another shape :)

Glad you like the text effects ... I have been hooked on playing around with them for the last couple of weeks :)
