I have photoshop6 bundled with Elements 4.
I have compiled a slideshow with photoshop complete with transitions, sound, etc but when I send it to PS4 I get an error that microsoft wants me to send to them. (I've tried a smaller show which has gone through but the photos are not clear on the DVD produced). The slideshow has 224 slides. My computer has 960mb ram.
I'm new to all this. Help ??
thanks,
Larry

Larry,
This is an often told story. Check out other threads in these forums via the Search function, Slideshows.
1. What do you want to create? A DVD-VIDEO for playback on your TV?
Let us assuming that you are aiming for a DVD-VIDEO (NTSC DV Standard 4:3 which has a frame size of 720 x 480 pixels)
2. What are the pixel dimensions of those 224 slides. They should not exceed 1000 x 750 pixels. You may have to do a batch resizing via Photoshop Elements 6, File Menu/Process Multiple Files.

That link should answer a lot of your questions about slideshows/resolution of slides/end product project definition.
3. You need to take a close look at the System Requirement and your computer resources: installed and available RAM as well as total and free hard drive space. 960 GB RAM is low for a project of the size that you mention. I am assuming that is available RAM. If it were installed RAM, then the available RAM would probably be less than 960 GB RAM, bad news in your situation. You did not mention free hard drive space so I do not know what shape your project is in with regard to that resource.
The following link is for Premiere Elements 7, but can apply to Premiere Elements 4 as well..

So, please review my comments, read some threads found in the Search, and we will move forward from there.

I like the sound of that determination.
I will be watching for your progress. You may want to check out the Premiere Elements Forum here (where I usually navigate to) for follow up.
Do not forget...mini projects first before the grand project.
Good luck.
