I have a challenge in removing the blemishes on the road of this photo (the yellow stars). Zooming in and replacing the yellow star pixels with adjacent pixels doesn't seem to work well. A visable scar in the road seems to be left behind.

Thanks for any tips on how to remove these blemishes.

Shwine, sometimes the Clone Tool is best, sometimes the Healing Brush (or Spot Healing Brush). Often it may be a combination of tools techniques that are needed.

What have you tried thus far?

I would loosely select the stars with the lasso tool,
feather the selection,
move the selection (just the selection, not the pixels) to a clean area of the road
copy and paste the clean area
move the copied pixels over the stars
use the clone tool to clean it up (on the new pasted layer)
Merge the layer down if it turned out okay. Delete the layer and start over if necessary.
