I guess that there are other things to take pictures of than flowers and birds in the Chicago area. I had to visit someone in the hospital downtown and carried my Coolpix 5100 with me,: just in case. While walking down Michigan Ave. I grabbed a shot of the old Water Tower, and now I think it was worth doing.

The modern architecture juxtaposed with a very old structure makes for a interesting vision. I did not spend the time to try and straighten out the buildings, but will in the future. The beautiful sky is a product of my PSE reading.

Great shot!! I love being downtown. It has so much to offer and so many good photo ops.

Love the detail in the buildings, Ron! That Coolpix is still going strong - in your capable hands!!

That is excellent, Ron. The contrast in both texture and theme is amazing. The stark tree ups the ante even more!! I shudder to think what it will look like when you are done!!! ( Please post it again!) :)

That's a fantastic shot of my all-time favorite building, fine contrast between the old and new. I think Chicago is dangerous just because you can hurt yourself by looking up all the time.:)
