Really interesting results ! Thanks, Tony, for this week's tutorial. I really like the result on your plant. (Not good with flower/plant names!)
Sepiana, I really like the balloons!
Doris-a much more interesting sky. This would be a great way to replace a sky with something much more dramatic
BJ, I like the shack. It's interesting how the interior turned out less bright and saturated than the outside.
Jo-the flower looks great!

This was fun, thank you. I may have to do more of these creative challenges. I can easily see losing hours playing with these adjustment layers!

Martha, thanks a lot! I'm so pleased you liked my entry. I was fascinated by the way the balloon colors changed.

No sure if this is the correct place for these questions.
I have just had a go at my 2nd Be Creative but I need help please with putting 2 photos in the same post, and naming them , eg, Original, Edited.
I have put two in, but they are just added to the bottom of the message.
I cant work out the Pixentral upload.
Any help would be appreciated please. Can I upload a couple of photos as a test run, without them actually being as a Be Creative?
Thank you Marg

Margie,
Here's the steps I did to include my before and after (using XP and PSE 6)
Use Save for web on both you before and after pictures in PSE (I have a separate folder I save any "web" pictures in.
Type your message but don't post it yet.
On another window (or tab if you use IE 7) go to www.pixentral.com (http://www.pixentral.com)
Upload your after picture
Once the picture uploads, there are two boxes below the picture - one of them says "Forum" Highlight all the text in there and copy (right click and copy or ctrl + c)
Paste this "link" in your message (I usually preview post now to make sure it looks ok) to paste, right click and paste or ctrl + v
Open another tab/window and go to pixentral home again and upload the before picture
Copy the forum link and paste it into the message.
Preview post (not required but I usually do just to make sure it's ok)
Submit reply
Good luck...

Well done everyone this week and hope you learnt just a little more about adjustment layers and blending modes. They are fun to play with. And now for a few comments:
Jo: Love that velvety colour and texture that you created - makes for a very interesting pattern/background - wouldn't it be nice if real flowers looked like that. And I have the new version of Simplify too and it's really good. as are all the Topaz products. I use them all the time. That one's a great example.
BJ: That sure is an interesting red glow you created and I like the effect on the wood. Paint on the mask to moderate the surrounding effect and you'd have a very classy shack in the woods!
Doris: Nicely done - woth a few Blend Modes you've whipped up a storm!
Sepiana: Wow - that was a great picture to use and very interesting to see the effect it had on the colours. I like it.
Clara: Nice paint job. It's interesting to see the colour changes - I assume it started out all pretty much the same colour.
Martha: Very clever and a neat effect. I'd never recognized them as rhododendrons if you hadn't told us.
Eleanor: Bambi in the early morning sun. Beautifully done and glad to hear your getting the hang of layer masks. They really are powerful when you get the hange of them. Like what you did with the sunflower too.
Bill: You're right about the completely different look and they are pretty much unpredicable too when it comes to colour change. No idea what colour that would have started out as but the end result is pretty neat and definitely adds a bit of heavy metal look!
Dspec01: That's a great colour you turned those blossoms into. Now if only they grew that way.
Val: Another Simplify fan. It does add something to to this challenge I suspect because it simplifies the colours a bit before you start messing with them. A surreal tulip indeed!
Bob: A psychedelic frog. That really livened him/her up - your others are clecerly done too.
Toni: Those dramatic changes really gave a dramatic result. When I was playing with it I moved the sliders all over the place and it's fun to watch what happens.
Mary Lou: Good choice of picture and a really interesting result. I like that effect.
Rachel: Welcome to the creative challengs and good to see you having fun with your dogs. Cleverly done and look forward to seeing more of them in the future (and it doesn't matter where the pictures come from - there are no rules here at all!)
Becky: That's a good one. You must have really tweaked those sliders.
Margie: Another welcome. This is a great way to learn the program. That's how I did it - just playing around doing challenges like this - I could never do it by reading books!
Marie: You should be more comfortable now! Those are really good and I especially like the first one.
Good job everyone!

Tony, thanks for the comments! I did enjoy this BC a lot. I'd never realized the variety of effects one can get by just combining different blend modes. I can see myself making good use of this technique.

I know I'm late in posting, but better late than never I guess. Haha....Everybody's images were so great, but I did find that southwestern saloon to be especially striking. Especially because Bob managed to get those southwestern colors into the photo.
Great tut!
