I went out and got 8 gigs of ram just b/c of the low price. I now need to upgrade to Vista 64 to take advantage of extra RAM given 32-bit OS only can utilize about a max of 3gig. I know Premiere 7 is a 32-bit program but was wondering if I would see an increase in Premiere performance with 64-bit OS?

Are you asking about Premiere Pro CS4 in contrast to Premiere Elements 7? Premiere Pro CS4 is still a 32 bit application which would run in the Vista64 32 bit compatibility mode, but read on......

If so, is the following what you are looking for?

I thought that I gave you the following link in one of your other threads
http://www.softwarenewsdaily.com/2009/03/upgrade-to-64-bit-vista-for-adobe-cs4
Found within this link
All CS4 applications are designed to work with a 64-bit OS and harness extra memory beyond 4GB. Tests by Adobe have shown speed increases in Premiere Pro of up to 200% on 64-bit systems with 16GB of memory, over maxed-out 32-bit systems.

The Adobe Forums (http://www.adobeforums.com) includes, or at least it used to, a Premiere Pro User to User Forum. If I have read you present correctly, you might want to get some first hands comments over there.

If I misread your present question, please correct me and I will re-channel by comments.
