When using the create a greeting card wizard, or in editing a greeting card, can I insert my own background? I have only found the background templates already provided for greeting cards.

Hi Mary... welcome to Elements Village. You can always shut off the visibility of the background layer, by clicking on the eye beside that layer.... or delete it entirely. Then just add your own background layer.
