PSE interacts adversely with a lot of the background software and drivers that folks load up their OS's with. Go to the Adobe support website and search for "troubleshoot errors freezes photoshop elements <your OS>"

My problem turned out to be a mouse driver.

Hi,

Probably some more info could help.
> what is the OS that you are using?
> Which version of PSE
> Do you always see the crash? and what are the exact steps...

It does give problems with certain drivers and anti-virus softwares.

My PSE 7 crashed a lot when I put it on my new Vista OS. Got a patch from the Adobe site to make it compatible with Vista and haven't had a problem since.
