Hi Guys - been a while since I last posted here.
Just went to open PE3.0 and got the following error:
The instruction at "0x0a2110e3" referenced memory at "0x00000018". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
I uninstalled, and reinstalled a fresh copy of the program but it's still doing it.
Any suggestions
Thanks
Rick

True, we have not heard from you in a long while. From what you wrote, your issue has suddenly appeared, assumed your Premiere Element 3.0.2 has been working all that time without a glitch??? But, I do not know that since you did not supply a history of what has been going on with your computer, what recent changes may have occurred in your computer system, how optimized your computer is at this time (available RAM, free hard drive space, etc., etc.) When you go to open Premiere Elements 3.0.2 and get this error, are you opening a saved project (.prel) or are you about to create a new project. Lots of questions, so best you supply a little more background for your issue.
I have often said that a problem can have the same symptoms as another, but have different causes. Keeping that in mind, you may want to check out the following link
"Conflict With Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0.2, 3ivX 4.502 does not work with Adobe Premiere Elements" which just popped up at the Premiere Elements User to User Forum at Adobe:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/389034
Hope that explains what is happening in your case also, but, if not, please supply more issue background information and we will see what we can do about coming up with some more suggestions.

Hi ATR,
Thanks for the response. Nice to see you're still here on these forums.
Thanks for the link - it seems that it may be exactly what the problem is. I installed a flipcam onto the PC today and PE3 has not been working since.
I actually forgot about the flipcam, as that was this morning but i only went to use PE3 this evening.
I tried the work-around by re-naming the 3ivx Quicktime codec - which sort-of worked and PE3 started up again. Unfortunately though, IT is now not recognising my camcorder (the capture screen shows the play controls but the record button is greyed out.)
I uninstalled the flip software and 3ivx and tried again, but it still won't see my camcorder (firewire) even after reboot.
I am currently in the process of completely uninstalling PE3 and quicktime.
I will then reinstall them using the most recent quicktime version, and see what happens.
I'll let you know how I get on
Cheers
Rick
