Hello!
Can someone tell me please how I can switch off creating xmp files in Elements 6 for Mac?

Not sure what you mean by switch off creating xmp files ... could you explain a little more please :)

XMP files are created while processing RAWs. And I just don't want them.

You could just delete them, but then Elements will not remember the settings you adjusted in ACR.

Else, at least in ACR 5.2, you can set the Preferences to either XMP files or a Camera Raw database (save image settings). I have never used the database...
