Howdy all!
This week I thought we would play around with the grouping of shapes and pictures. This is a great technique for scrappers, but some cool effects can also be made out of pictures as well. The tutorial can be found HERE (http://spraguelab.squarespace.com/blog/2006/8/11/photoshop-friday.html).
Remember, make this your own, try different shapes, brushes, etc...and most of all HAVE FUN!

The small print for the challenge is ……

Everyone is invited to participate.
Please join in, share your images, ideas, imagination and inspiration. There are no rules - feel free to experiment and, if you can remember tell us what you did so others can benefit from your experiments.

Please post your images (as many as you like) below in this thread.

If you would like to comment or have a question, please post here.

Looking forward to your creations!! :)

Here is mine. I used a picture instead of background paper. I made 2 copies of the same image, then I used topaz simplify on one and topaz adjust on the other, then I made my shapes and followed the tutorial. I did not burn in a brush - it looked too busy...I also put bevels around the shape layer to add some dimension.

Here's my take on it as a non-scrapper.

Thanks Tammy, that was a great tut and challenge!

These are always fun. This is what I came up with. It is my daughter's first Mother's Day as a mother.

Hi Tammy, this is lots of fun.
Thanks for the tut.
These are all brushes. Don't even know what all is in that brush folder.
Time to investigate. I'll be back with another one.

I am not a 'natural' scrapper, hence it took over 2 hours to create this:D. I have so much trouble getting text to balance and look right. I think half the time was spent just on that. Oh, I'm not counting the hour and a half I spent yesterday on my try outs that all ended in the trash can.

Thanks Tammy....... I think. I hold you responsible for all the chores I didn't get done. In fact I invite you over to make use of my spare mop and bucket :D

This was great fun! My rounded corners did not appear so I made my squares into a window-like frame. I used brushes and textures and played with the background too. Thanks Tammy for the fun and lesson!

Yeah.....I was home sick all day. What a great excuse to play! My son and his son reunited after the little one spent 3 months in Peru.
