Upgraded from Elements 5 to 6 and click on Help and cursor changes to an hourglass for a few seconds, then changes back to normal icon without opening help. Uninstalled & reinstalled 6 and no change.

Does someone happen to know the file name that perhaps can be located on the CD so that it can be installed -- or is there another method such as downloading simply the help files? (Thought I had asked this question last night, but can't find it here or on a couple of other forums.)

Hi Miles, welcome aboard!

Is this what you need?

There is also this cheat sheet:

Thank you! That's the on line help for 6 which I couldn't locate -- only found reference to version 7.

Still would be nice if the Help in the application was available. If there's not too much of a change between 5 & 6 perhaps I'll go back -- will first see how I can get along with the on-line help only, or if someone else can provide the files that I can search for on the CD and perhaps force them to download (I have a feeling they have been garbled and nothing I can do about that now since it's old -- it's been sitting on the desk for a year!

I suggest not wasting your time trying to get application Help working -- in PSE 6 and 7, it's content is highly abridged, missing most of the details about how to use commands. See this FAQ for alternatives:
