Coming from a Photoshop background, I miss Guides. I know retouching photos doesn't warrant Guides necessarily, but it looks to me like people are using PSE for MUCH more than just manipulating photos.

So yeah, I'd love to see Guides in the next version of Photoshop Elements. :D

I think the best you can do is get really clever with the 'Grid' controls.

We used to be able to add these using addons like Grant's Tool but Adobe blocked the backdoor access that was being used.

Its another one of those things that I just don't think Adobe will add ... but I do wish that they would !! :)

I made my own guides....just drew vertical and horizontal lines on separate layers in a new document, and saved it as "GUIDES"...gave it it's own tag so its easy to find. Not quite as convenient as my old CorelDRAW guides, but a reasonable facsimile. There's an old thread or two on this subject. I think we'd all put that on our wish list.

The other thing to do is on each document, draw your guide lines, then dump them in the trash when you're done with them. Again, not as easy as dragging them out from the margins, but sometimes easier than trying to use the grid.
