BJ, your take on the boat is awesome! What a great result. Way to go!

Thanks, Doris. I'm looking forward to seeing your work.
The boat image is stlll on pixentral to download. See the EZ challenge boat, if you're interested in using it also.
Filters are just too much fun. Hours could fly by just trying out different combos.

Bill, love the technique on your cars! But I'm a car buff so I'm partial...LOL! My dad was car customizer and belonged to the "Customs of Enfield" car club when he was younger.

dspec01...your technique came out great...and what a cute picture!

Hi Tony,

Just wanted to share that I printed out one of the pictures of the puppy that I did for this challenge and was really pleased with the way it printed out. I've started doing that on occasion, wanting to see if things that look good on the web also look good in print. This photo came out exceptionally well.

Thanks!

Well done everyone and good to see how many of you remembered what you did!

BJ: Glad to see you enjoy playing with filters. Have to agree that I rather like the dark, high contrast one. Helps focus the eyes on the boat rather than wandering around the rest of the scene

Martha: Nicely done - another example where the filters help remove some distractions. The frame's great too!

Doris: You really worked hard on those. Great job. I would never have recognized it as Bath - looks more like Venice to me - must be the rain and your filters!

Bill: Good one as always. The filters sure bring out the need for restoration but it makes for a very striking image.

Jerry: Wow! You used the Offset filter. That's the granddaddy of all filters and so obscure that only the pros mess with it! I did once think of setting it as a creative challenge but decided I would have such a hard time explaining what it does and how to use it that I abandoned the idea.

Toni: What a comparison. Great eyes and mouths (In both of them!). Well done.

DSpec01: You've got my problem - I mess around and then forget what I did. So thanks for writing it down. And a great effect you created too.

Sepiana: That's spectacular. Hard to tell it started life as a photo. Or maybe it didn't??

Suzanne: Cleverly done. Using the flood filter sure helps liven up the image.

Eleanor: Have to agree I like the first one best - a nice soft dog deserves a nice soft image! And glad to hear it printed out well too.

Norma: Another Bill! You've given that old Ford an almost humanoid look. Good one.

Clara: Some filters do wash out detail but you very cleverly brought it back. Well done.

Tony, thanks for the fun tutorials -- the current one, as well as the earlier ones. And, thanks for taking time to post comments.

Tony, thanks so much for taking the time to write all the comments! I really enjoyed this challenge. And you'd better believe it -- this began as a very ordinary image. That's why I love filters -- they enable me to salvage images destined to the Recycle Bin.:D

It was fun.

Now I understand my problem! I like to play with obscure things.
