New version for Mac? [Archive]

I just got a new Mac and want to get Elements for it. I see that the mac is still on version 6 which was released in Jan/08. Is there any news on when a new version for the Mac will be coming out? I have Elements 5 for my PC so I can get by waiting a couple of months if a new version for the Mac is on the horizon. I'd hate to by Elements 6 now and have either 7 or 8 come out for the Mac soon thereafter.

Also, if nobody knows when a new Mac version will come out, is there any expected time when version 8 will come out for the PC?

... and welcome to the Village :)

I don't think that a version of PSE7 will be released for the Mac ... last few times the odd numbered versions have been Windows only and the even numbered versions have been both Mac & Windows.

.. so I suspect that we will have to wait until the next version is released :)
