I am using 5.0 with XP on a PC. Editor will open, but Organizer launches and freezes. Then I get a message that Organizer is not responding.
I have done everything suggested by Adobe with the exception of uninstalling 5.0. I am worried that if I do that I will lose all the actions, brushes, etc. that I have loaded. Is this so??
We restored the program back to March 10 (the last time I used Organizer successfully), but that did not help.
Does anyone have any good suggestions. I can live without the Organizer rather than the brushes, etc. that I have loaded. Jean

Please try items 1 and 3 in this FAQ

Also, there is a problem in Vista that can cause this (and is easily fixed), so are you sure that you are running Windows XP?

A few months ago, I had similar issues so also questioned this forum. I was led to this link

I had uninstalled and reinstalled E7, but that didn't help. Ultimately, I needed to create a new catalog. Now works fine.

Hope this helps. I know the frustrations:(

Yes, I am definitely on XP, I knew about the Vista problem.
As I said, I have tried everything as suggested on those sites.
To reiterate my question and concern - I have done everything suggested by Adobe with the exception of uninstalling 5.0. I am worried that if I do that I will lose all the actions, brushes, etc. that I have loaded. Is this so??
