Transfer plug-ins from 6 to 7

I have installed version 7. It seems like it might take me an eternity to transfer all of my actions. Is there a way to transfer my plug-ins and brushes from PSE 6 to 7. I run vista.

I have got the plug-in thing handled--All I did was copy them from one file to the other and they seem to work. The one that didn't work, I have a disk for that re-installed fine. I still don't know how to handle brushes, and there must be something I'm missing with the actions, because what I am trying is just not working.

Hi Linda ..

I am afraid that you will need to install your actions again in PSE7 ... its not possible just to copy them over as sadly they install in a different way.

Brushes are easier they just go in the Elements software folder under Presets>Brushes :)

Boy this topic touched a nerve with me! I have reinstalled brushes, actions and filters everytime I have upgraded PSE. :(

I sure wish that Adobe would have a plug-in migration tool with each new version of PSE :rolleyes: Or at least have them all go in the same location to ease the ordeal of moving all that stuff over.

I have versions back to v3. I finally got to the point where I just have the basics installed on v7 curves, layer mask, etc. If I want another plugin I just open a differnet version and do it in that.
