I'm always a big fan of Scott Kelby's books.

Laura, in addition to Kelby's The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Book for Digital Photographers, I also use Photoshop CS4 on Demand (Que). I also have the Elements version and it is extremely helpful as a "desk reference". I tend not to read books, especially "how to" books, from beginning to end, rather I like to work thru stuff and then research for help when I get stuck.

Jeff, I am the same. I only go to the books to find the answers to my questions. And, right now I have a lot of questions.

What specific (or general) issues are you having with CS4? Different books might be more or less focused on the questions you have.

I found books with DVD helpful if your not familar with the program. Borders or Amazon is great resource.

Now I don't have an excuse. I got Kelby's book and also Photoshop on Demand. I just have to make the time to practice. Thanks!!
