RUN TIME ERROR - Shuts down Elements 6 every session!

Hi everyone,
I am new here. I have Elements 6 and am using Windows XP.
Almost everything I do I get a Run Time Error and it shuts down the programme. Is there a patch for this - am I doing something wrong?

I am so hacked off with this I am almost at the point of throwing the programme out of th window and letting the dog have it for supper. Shame, it is a good programme when it runs for more that 3 or 4 minutes.
Can anyone help?

Unfortunately, there are many possible causes for a crash. If it's the Editor that's crashing, try these troubleshooting steps:

Is this a new install of Elements ... or has it been working OK in the past and the problem has just occurred ??

Hi and thanks for both your replies.
I have had Elements for about 18 months and it has been working fine ...
I have tried re installing it but with no joy.
I will try the links you suggest and post an update.

Hi Wendy,
no, nothing installed recently. I have taken my computer in to
"the shop" to see if I have picked a bug up that I havn't detected. Will report back when I get my a phone call to collect it.
