How could I improve this??

I like it. Was that a smudge or a liquify?
If I had to suggest anything it might be a white frame or a text caption, but it really doesn't need it. Looks great as is!

It was the liquify tool. Yea I was going to add some text for him, just trying to think of something!!! Thanks and glad you like it!!!

Great job with the work you did! I like it. If I were to add anything else, I'd maybe consider adding a layer (scaled down...with maybe 50-60% opacity) up in the corner with your son's favorite band.....like they were looking on. I've done this with some of my friends who are musicians, and they loved it. Just a thought.
