I posted a sepia version of the historical montage in My Gallery - it's nice too darn it. I used the Virtual Photographer sepia filter and then tried to get the picker to pick up the beach colour of the larger island. Actually when I print it, it does bring out more colour in the background image and is quite nice.

I straightened the beach photo on the top right and tried to blur the bridge bottom edge a bit.

Not sure how the heck I'm going to choose but it's a matter of personal taste now I guess.

Thanks again for all the advice... it's encouraging to have produced something I'll actually use!

I'm at work and my PC monitor is showing all in yellow... so I can't tell if it's ok or not :(

Good morning Ray :)

That's strange isn't it? The background scenery should be coloured, albeit it on the dull side. The photo was taken in the fall on a cloudy day so there is only slight colour but it is definitely not yellow:confused:

BTW my new printer didn't come in yesterday - very disappointed but it is supposed to be here by noon today. Can't wait to try this image on it.

Hi Pat - that is absoulely GORGEOUS - I really love this sepia one. The present day in the middle in color and the historical part in sepia. Great idea and great execution!:) :)

20 versions of everything all looking different, but good to me

I like both versions.. and I really like the idea. Now if you just try........:D

You know Carol, I like them all but that's the one I keep going back to as well; so I will likely send out that version. A few of the older relatives may enjoy the sepia so I'll make use of them all perhaps.

Speaking of which, your Merry & Bright Work is lovely - are you going to use that for your Holiday Card? Very very nice!

Thanks for taking the time to cast your vote.

Thanks Pat-I had a lot of fun with that tutorial-I haven't thought too much about sending e-cards, even though I've made a bunch just having fun! Perhaps I should!:)
