Hi Crein ...

I just checked it out and it works by you adding a premade mask layer to any of your files that you want to have a mask. Then you merge the layer with your image and preserve the layer mask.

Its a neat trick but its probably a lot easier just to install one of the tool sets that will give you "built in" layer mask :)
