Drop shadow question

After adding a drop shadow, isn't there a way to alter it's shape?

I seem to remember right clicking would bring up an oval which could be shifted, but it's not working. Am I crazy, did I just dream this?

Double click on the "fx" in the layer and then use the lighting angle to adjust angle and the sliders to adjust the size and distance of the shadow.
