How do I apply the teeth whitener brush in the quick edit menu. I see how to select and the teeth have the "racing ants" around it, but from there what do I do to make the whitening happen? Thanks for any help. Am new to Photoshop Elements 7!

I do not have elements 7, but basically here is what I would do.
Once the teeth are selected, ctrl +j them to their own layer.
Then, either use the dodge tool, to brighten them
or
hue/sat. adj. layer

Welcome to the Village, Kelly.

I tried the quick fix thingy for whitening teeth and I couldn't find any way to adjust the whitening. When you select the toothbrush and then click on the teeth.....it automatically whitens them....not much, but just a teeny bit. I kinda doubt you will get perfect results every time.

Maybe someone else will have a better answer.....

Kellybecke,

I am also new to Elements and had a hard time selecting the teeth (that in itself is a trick to master) and then knowing what to do with the "marching ants". I was told to go to Adjust color>hue, saturation>move the slider until you saw a difference. Well I could do that all day and I didn't see any difference. So I must be missing something, which would not be new.:( But I have found, in my humble opinion, that if you zoom in really close to the teeth>take a small soft brush>dodge tool until you get a nice bright white>then go to your opacity slider and back it down a bit so that it doesn't look artificial. Hope that helps.:D

Using the dodge tool seems to work best for me. Just be careful you don't get them too white. I also use it a lot to whiten the whites of the eyes.
