loading time

I am on elements 6, it takes about 2 minutes for my program to load a photo on the work space for editing, is this normal?

Describe your PC...CPU clock speed, amount of RAM, etc. You might not have quite enough power under the hood. Also, you might want to consider defragging your HDD.

Thanks for your replys,
My computer is first class, ( new HP) I work with 3D home design software with no issues.

Elements 6 works great loading photos, doing anything under organize. But
with a photo up in organize, I try to switch to Edit,
I click edit, elements switches to the edit work page, I click, quick or full edit,
this is where it take about 2 minutes for the photo to load so I can edit it.
This slow delay is what I wish to know is normal.
I do have a second posting titled "trouble switching to edit page".
