I have elements 6. I can work fine in the organize section of my program. when I have a photo up and wish to fix something, I switch to fix, select either quick or full fix. The photo does not come back after the fix work area comes up, and I can not get a picture up. The programs stops responding it I try more than one thing. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Bill Weathersbee

Bill,
Try these troubleshooting steps, which start with deleting the Editor's preferences:

You may have a printer that's responding slowly. See this tech note:

Thanks, I tried to load the site you gave but I keep getting error msg's. I 'm not trying to print, so would printer speed have any thing to do with switching from the organize page to edit page or work area.
My computer and memory are first class, I work with 3D home designing with no trouble.

Adobe's site sometimes has problems responding. It's available right now. If you have problems in the future, just wait a minute or two and try again.

Thanks for the help. I did find an update for my printer and downloaded it. I do use a wireless printer which is slow to respond, so that could be part of my issue.
However, does anyone else have an issue with edit being unstable when it starts? When it does come up with the photo it works great, but getting it up takes a lot of patience.
New at this, Bill

Bill,
Those are well-known symptoms of a printer that’s slow to respond to PSE. Did you try solution 3 of the tech note I referenced above? That usually fixes the problem.

johnrellis, thanks, i change the default printer, edit worked fast. So ,i changed it back to my printer and it still works good.
You may not know this but, while trying fixes for this issue, one thing was for
me to download, a "licensing repair tool", When I try to download this, it opens my itune music player, and with the download having the itune icon next to it????
Do you work for elements, how do you know all these things?

Are edits still working quickly? It may be that your printer responds slowly only some of the time; if you experience slow edits again, make another printer the default printer.
Regarding the licensing update, I don't know why iTunes is getting confused by that. But you don't the licensing update if changing the default printer fixes the slow-edits problem.
I don't work for Adobe. I just struggle with Elements like everyone else, participate in these and other forums, and read Adobe's tech notes.
