Hi, I just started using elements and I am having trouble. I need to resize the image so that when I print it it can print to 8X10, however when I do so, it cuts off part of the picture, it's like the people in the picture don't get smaller, what am I doing wrong, please help? Thanks :-)

Sweet, if you want to crop any part of the image away, you can set the crop tool to 8X10 and drag it out on the image. You are left with an 8X10 that will print perfectly, assuming you are printing at home.

Additionally, most printer dialogs in Elements (the stuff you get after hit the Print command) have settings that allow you to "Fit to Paper/Media" so once you set your paper size in the that dialog, and check off Fit to Paper or Media, then Elements should resize the image on the fly to fit on the paper.

If the image you are working with does not have the same proportional dimensions (aspect ratio) as 8X10, elements will fit it any way but you will see white edges on the top/bottom or both sides, otherwise to fill the page would cause some parts of the image to overrun the edge.

Lastly, one other way is to resize that working image in Elements to a set of dimensions that gets you to 8X10 or again at least one dimensions. Go to Image>Resize>Image Size... and set your new dimensions.
