At 11:58 Wednesday December the 7th, 2005, Raymond Robillard was found dead in front of his appartment. The death seems to have occured shortly after the man started to eat the snow, tired of having to melt it with salt, shovel it, push, watch it fall over and over.
For those who would like to, you may send donations to Club Med, any branch.
Thank you.
(JUST KIDDING !!)

I'm with you Ray - I hate the white stuff. We are already up past our knees in it so maybe that will make you feel better!

Oh Ray Ray Ray.....you certainly have the winter blues -- already -- and it's only just begun. Don't you Canadians have anyplace warm you can move to?? Cheer up, the warmth in your heart and the love radiating from all your friends here on the forum should be enough to keep you warm :D .

Move to.. ? Yes, Florida :)
Seriously, I'm really just joking around, nothing serious. Winter is no fun, I mean for me, that's for sure. But nothing to go for and hang myself at a tree.. (I'd rather burn it for the warm it'll bring me.. hehe!)
I have a good winter jacket (it's rated at -25C), good winter & ice tires on my car, and I'm on an electricity buying plan (same amount per month, 12 months per year, so Winter is never a dramatic season!)
Speaking of electricity, we replaced our aging xmas lights with LED lights. For indoor, it's just about the same thing, but way way less heat and electricity consumption (on the box it says 45 cents instead of 30$ for the same duration, 6 hours a day, 30 days..) Since we live in a sub-basement, we tend to put much more lights to compensate for the lack of sunlight during the worst months (December and first half of January), this will help us save a lot of $$ on electricity !!

Speaking of Christmas lights. Some time ago in one of the forum subjects we were discussing (and someone posted a video) of that extravagant light show someone has on their house. I saw a report on TV about that the other night. It's in Mason, Ohio and the homeowner said he only runs it for 3 minutes out of each hour in the evenings and his utility bill for last month was $150 over normal.

George, nice house. Is it yours?
Ray, stop whining. Winter has barely begun!! Get yourself a Golden Retriever. They love the snow and make you go out and walk in it whether you want to or not. You can't help but smile when you watch their joyous faces as they romp along and roll in the snow growling and kicking in joy.
That said, we drove to the old age home today to do our visit because it was just too darn cold to walk. :D

Well I do love my seasons, just wish winter was a bit shorter and hate it if I have to drive in it!
George, I love the picture the way it is. If I were to do anything I would maybe do some kind of edging effect to soften the edges, and change the text. I find the red a bit too much. Something more subtle would look nice. I always like embossed text for the subtle effect. Use the clear one, and then it will put a little shadow around it so it will stand out from the snow, and leave a nice soft feeling. The picture is very comforting and makes you think when you walked in the door there would be a lovely fire going. If you're really feeling creative, go back to the house and make a snowman on the front yard and take another picture. :D Oh and don't forget to get another one when the cops are hauling you away.

George, I like the Christmas card and wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. The 'Red Rock' is marvellous and reminds me of scrambling over water worn rocks at Canal Rocks, south of Bunbury in Western Australia
