Uh... Bill? Is that...uh.... you? :o
Funny shot, Bill! And a whole new angle to the theme I would never have thought of!

Bill, did you set the timer and then run...

I've been thinking about how to answer this and I guess it's safer to admit that it is in fact a self portrait using the camera timer. The alternative of going into someone else's bathroom .... well it's just not something I'd like to think about.:o
Thanks for the comments.

I have to say, I'm impressed with the size of your classified ad section. In our metro area (150,000 in city limits) our SUNDAY help-wanted ads were only 3 pages long (wow......). Sad sign of the times...

Kim - the Stevenmobile is CLASSIC!
I do believe it may be in need of a little KitKat hood ornament, however...

I actually was collecting in your neighborhood yesterday, Kim. I don't know who tagged my Cad but I will kill them. I got buried by the volume and you stiffed me by not showing! I'm dead tired from that long drive but I'll be back, and this time it won't be a rehearse-al!:D
They just don't make cool hearses like they used to! Cool find!

Toni - I"m not Bill, but I'll throw in my 2 cents for your 3rd photo. I like the focal photo being slightly out of focus and the unfortunate headline in sharp relief. That man could use some relief in the job world. Times are tough all over....

Toni, I believe that I like the second picture the best. My heart goes out to that young man.

I saw the perfect want ad a while back, wish I'd taken a pic! :(

The employment picture looks pretty bleak, but we got some creative shots for the week anyway.
Val – Nice job capturing the double-edged-sword side of employment. Rather than let us get deliriously lost in the glamour of getting up before the sun, dragging our tired selves to our workplaces and spending our days doing things we’d rather not be doing, you pointed out the reality that we’re taxed for it too. The strikethroughs in fine print in your second shot is really cold, and to add injury to insult they still let you download the application. Clever theme interpretations on both your shots Val!
Sepiana – Very clever and very sadly true. Nice entry again Sepiana.
Tony – Congrats on finding a help wanted sign. Maybe they need a photographer for the show!
Steven – So true! It seems they run hyper-fast in those few moments before you punch in, and then come to a nearly complete stop. How does that work? I like the b&w treatment you chose and your angle looking up at the hulking beast hovering above.
Kim – Cool looking vehicle and a great shot for the theme. Do they really deliver beverages?? That would be a pretty good gig around here with all of Portland’s coffee junkies. Can’t walk the 100 meters to the nearest Starbucks?? Just give Even Steven a call. I like it!
Byron – Looks like you cut it pretty close on December 11 and almost missed that 6:04!! Cool shot … I like the colors very much and agree that the leather tassel is the perfect accessory for the code generator.
Toni – I’m not Val, but she said it much better that I could. Nice shots Toni … I wish the fellow the best.
Clara – Fun shot … it’s good to see someone getting hired. I love the expressions on the couples faces … she looks so happy, but the fellow seems pretty skeptical about the whole turn of events.;)
Sharon – How exciting to have t brand new library to look forward to! I love the bright colors that are being put to use and you did a nice job catching the workers in action. Nice job too on finding a help wanted sign.
Helen – They apparently hired someone to climb a ladder and take the sign down. The chicken bucket is in interesting contrast to the nautical elements of the image as well. I'd think a Skippers sign would be more at home with the lashed pilings and orca mural.
Nice stuff as always folks. There’s still plenty of time left … so tell a friend.

Thanks for all your interesting comments Bill, they always make me look at things through different eyes. I get to enjoy everyone's images all over again:).
I liked my last image best too Val. The second one, which was supposed to be "it" looked a bit too messy on screen for my taste.
Helen, on the very bottom of your image, towards the right, there is a very interesting photography subject. At least I think it would be. It looks like two log things bound together with rope. Oh, the stories we could weave around that one:):). Maybe Bill will have a 'rope' theme one day, and you could use the same image cropped, and I wouldn't tell Bill, really I wouldn't.......

Even when I don't participate I always love seeing the unique ways everyone interprets the different themes.
I finally know where Bill has his office. :D Must be related to my hubby. I thought Sepiana's take was very unique and Toni's shows this economic crisis is not just in the U.S.
Thanks
