Silly question, I know, but is there some way to get back to photoshopelementsuser.com from the village forum without having to retype the pseuser.com address into your browser?

I just keep a bookmark in Firefox but I wish there was a tab or an icon on the Elements Village page to get us there! :) It would make it a lot easier to direct newbies to the subscriber site...

If you go back one step at the top of this page to 'General Elements Discussion' then the second 'sticky' has a direct link to the PET website.

Hi Bernie,

Here's how I access the Village forums and PET.....instantly.

http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1kXVGv9RmkztDiUscDvzIWfC70rQT_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1kXVGv9RmkztDiUscDvzIWfC70rQT)

Look at my tool bar right below the "address bar" and you will see several icons and the name or abbreviated name of a few of my frequently accessed web sites. With my mouse pointer, I click on the icon of the web site I want and instantly go to that page.
The way you get those icons on that tool bar is.....go to the web page you want. In the address bar, you will see the URL of that page and at the very beginning of that URL is an icon..right before the "http://". Take your mouse pointer and drag that icon down to the tool bar at the end of any icons showing there or in between any icons showing. You will see a black vertical line. Let up on the mouse button and your favorite web site will be there. From then on, all you need to do is click on the icon of the web page you want and your browser will instantly go there.
This feature works with Windows XP or Vista.
Most web page URL's have long name.....like the PET one. Once you get the web site moved to that tool bar, you can right-click on it and select "rename", which will shorten it up and that will allow you to have more web sites listed along that bar.
There is a web page devoted to this and it's easy as pie to understand how it works.

Edit: I should have said this feature works in Internet Explorer and/or Firefox

Bookmarks are all well and good for those of us who know the connection between the two sites and have the links. But for someone new to the site, it isn't even obvious from a stroll around the Village that this forum is even connected to PET. Yet PET has a direct link here. I just think it would be nice to have a clickable link at the top of the page to both make it easy to get to PET but also to make clear to newcomers that further information and resources are available on our subscriber site.

Thanks for all of your ideas re bookmarks, possibility of a direct link put in here sometime, and Roln's procedure for adding frequently visited website URLs right below the address bar of your browser.

I'm going to give Roln's idea a try; if that doesn't work, I'll just bookmark the PET site. Thanks again everyone!

Hi Julie ..

I do understand what you are saying ... newcomers just don't know that there is any link between Elements Village and PET and must wonder sometimes why we keep sending them to what must appear to be another website

I understand that Rick has this on the to do list ... and that they will be redesigning the website to reflect it.

... hopefully once that has been done it will be much clearer ..

Wendy :)

Thanks, Wendy! That makes me happy! :) :) (doubly happy, actually!)
