Backup\Full or Incremental?

I am using Elements 5 and I need advice about doing backups. I have done a full back up several weeks ago and now have added some pictures. I thought doing an incremental backup would be the way to go. However, I am stumped by the dialog box asking me to select a destination drive and then browse to load previous backup file. Next, do I want to overwrite the backup folder that already exists. And, what in the heck is "the previous backup file" button asking me.
Is it simpler to just do another full backup? I am backing up to an external hard drive.

Incremental backups take up less space and less time than full backups. So, an incremental backup is a perfectly logical thing to do here.

The previous file that it asks you for is the file(s) from the full backup you made recently. You have to point to the Hard drive folder where you made the full backup. Select a destination drive ... this is where you tell PSE to write the incremental backup information. You don't want to overwrite the previous backup ... then you lose your full backup from last time. You want to point the incremental to a new folder on your hard drive.
