Face Tagging in PE 7.0

Hi,

I recently made the jump from PE 3.0 to PE 7.0, so face tagging is a new feature for me.

I took many shots at a birthday party over the weekend and tried to use the face tagging feature for the first time last night. Does is typically take a LONG time for any thumbnails to appear? I aborted the process after 15 minutes.

Even when I selected only a few images, I never did get to the point where thumbnails appeared.

I just tried it on my catalog, selecting about 200 photos (from a 12K catalog) and invoking Find > Find Faces For Tagging. The first faces showed up in about 5 seconds, and it took about a minute or so to scan all 200 photos.

Try doing File > Catalog > Repair, and when it asks, select Re-Index Visual Similarity Data. Then do File > Catalog > Optimize.
