Hello,

I have made multiple projects basically capturing key comments from customers being interviewed. For each customer I have setup as a new project.

Now I would like to combine the best clips of each customer to make a customer testimonial project.

However now it seems there is no obvious way to copy clips from one project and paste them or import them into another..

Does any know a way to take edited clips from multiple projects and bring them into a new project? Should I have set the projects up differently? As one project it would be HUGE...

Thanks for your help,
Dean

Dean,

What version of Premiere Elements do you have? Premiere Elements questions should be placed in the Premiere Elements Forum here so that they do not get lost or confused with the Photoshop Elements questions.

But, I was on one of my browsing missions, when I came upon your question.

We could go into this in more detail if necessary, but what is done is to export "segment 1" from project 1 (.prel) to DV AVI via File Menu/Export/Movie. When you do, your segment is saved as DV AVI to a hard drive location that you designate and also to the Media Panel of your project. Repeat the process for "segment 2" from project 2 (.prel), and so on.

After you have compiled all your DV AVIs in a folder on the hard drive, open a new project (.prel) and bring all the DV AVIs into the Media/Timeline of this new project and export.

Just make sure your Disc capacity and your computer resources are up to the task. Remember, standard DVD disc = 4.7 GB/120 min. Time is the key.
When you get to the burn to disc, check "Fit content to available space". The program will attempt to do just that and will lower the bitrate from the high of 8 to a lesser value to accommodate. But, the lower the bitrate (more the compression) needed to fit, the lessor the quality.

How do you intend to export the final product? I have been assuming DVD-VIDEO format on a DVD disc. If it is to be one of the Personal Computer exports, then you might want to explore what file sizes can be expect of each export type.
