Photoshop 7.0 - Organizer keeps crashing

Hi,

I just started using Photoshop. I've imported about 10,000 pictures and added tags to several. Now, whenever I try to start the Organizer, it gets to the point of "Updating..." and then crashes. The end of the log file is :


2657 (+ 344) reloadNavigatorAndView() initializing for a new Search
3282 (+ 625) App is now visible and ready for input...

I thought maybe the problem had to do with ipod-related things, so I tried stopping itunes and all related processes. It still crashes. At one point, I had it import video folders (including hi-def), and had issues, so renamed the folders where all my files are, and that resolved the problem at that time, but now that's not working.

What can I do to fix this so I can organize my pictures?

I played around with it some more, and read a lot of the troublshooting - it was the darn video clips again (.m2ts files). I renamed the folder, and deleted from the album (which I thought I'd already done before but it must not have saved).

Thanks for sharing that -- it could help others.

The problem with videos may be with a third-party video codec you (or some other application) installed, or you may need to update your graphics driver. These Adobe tech notes describe how to troubleshoot those:

None of your steps in the guide fixes the problem when importing .m2ts-files (im having the same problem. See my thread at http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50675)

How can I skip the video clips to be integrated in the organizer, when I import from my camera (AVCHD) in PRE7?

If I could skip the files to be placed in the organizer the problem will be fixed...!
