Hi everyone,

I'm having problem importing pictures- taken in RAW -from my camera (Fujifilm S100FS) to photoshop element 5.0. This is in spite downlaoding recent version of RAW plug-in. The reason for failure to import is shown as "file is damaged or is a format that can not be included in organiser".
I will really appreciate any help to solve my problem, its getting me mad!

You may have the wrong version or multiple versions of ACR installed. See this Adobe tech note for resolving the problem:

Dear John,

thank you for your help. It answered all my questions. I just want your advice to clear another confusion.

Following your advice I found that version of plug in compatible with photoshop 5.0 is 4.6 while my camera supports 4.4. On the other hand the version of plug in that came with the cd of photoshop is 3.5. Does that mean if I download 4.6, it will suport my camera or do I have to download 4.4?

On the whole, adobe has adviced to update my element to either CS4 or photoshop 7. I will do it if the last effort to solve my problem does not happen by downloading 4.6/4.4.

Regards,
Syama

If 4.4 supports your camera, then 4.6 also supports your camera.
