What did I do?!

This is kind of hard to explain, so bear with me here.;)

I was in the middle of editing a photo, and when I selected the burn tool, it wouldn't work. I went to the smudge tool, and it only works on the one pixel setting. When I set the eraser on anything larger than 2 pixels (except the block setting), it only erases at the 2 pixel setting. The brush isn't working, the pencil is doing the same thing as the eraser, and blur and sharpen aren't working, either.

What did I do?! :confused: This has happened before, but I don't know how I fixed it.:p

Hi Traci and welcome :)

The first questions is do you have a Wacom tablet? If the mouse is sitting on the tablet while you are using your regular mouse you can experience something like that.

Second is your cap lock on? If it is turn it off and see if that changes things.

The last thing if neither of those solves it is to reset your preferences. While you are starting PSE hold down the cntrl, alt and shift keys really quickly!! then when the dialog box comes up asking if you want to rest preferences say yes.
