I know I have seen this question before but I don't seem to be able to get the gray matter to work this morning. I am makeing my list for Santa and I think he will bring me at least one good book. Would yal please make some suggestions for Santa to see. I am fairly new at this so please make them fairly simple ones.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Welcome to the forum Netnut! :)
I'm fairly new to all this as well. On the advice of the forum members I purchased "The Photoshop Elements3 book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby and "The Missing Manual" Photoshop Elements 3 by Barbara Brundage.
I would rate them a "must have" - I'm finding them very informative and easy to understand, perfect for my level at this time.
You didn't mention which version of Elements you have but I believe they are available for other versions as well. Other members I'm sure will join in here with advice.

Garry,
I'll throw my vote for The Photoshop Elements 3 Book for Digital Photographers by Scot kelby. I bought this book about a year ago and have found it very helpful. At times he is a bit goofy and I think he is paid by the word BUT it makes the book fun and easy to follow.
Just my $.02 worth.

I'll go with the Missing Manual, it's complete and very well writen. Full of examples.

I do not recommend "Photoshop Elements 3 for Windows one-on-one" by Deke McClelland. Out of four or five books I have, this is at the bottom of my list. Jan Kabili has written a fairly decent book but from what I hear, the "Missing Manual" is better.

Another vote for "The Missing Manual" here - it's at the very top of the list.
Also, "Photoshop Elements 3 Solutions" by Mikkel Aaland is one worth adding to your library.

"the digital photographer's guide to Photoshop Elements" by Barry Beckham. Very well done and wholly inspiring.

Hi there-
The Barabara Brundage and Scott Kelby books are right up there with me too-and for some extra fun, can I recommend "Down and Dirty Tricks for PSE3" as well-also by Scott-lots of great techniques, lots of laughs...:)
