Hey everyone. So I just got elements 6.0, and it is the first time I have ever used a photoshop. The main reason I got it was because I have seen people do funny things with it, i.e take someones head and put it on another persons body, and things of that sort. I was told it was real easy to do it, but I have been messing around with this program trying to figure it out for a couple hours now, and I still can figure out how to chop parts of photos and paste them on other photos.

Does anyone have any advice they could give me?

Thanks

Oh my, after looking around a little bit it appears that I should have posted this in the Beginners thread. Sorry, folks.

Hi Rya, while what you want to do can be fairly easy I think you are probably better buying a book and learning all the basics first and then you will find all the other stuff will come so much esier to you
Good luck

Ryan - it seems to me this is the first thing everyone wants to do with Photoshop. ;)

There are a number of selection tools available to cut parts from one photo and place them on another photo.

I'll leave it up to you to explore how to get that selection made - but after your get a part of the photo selected - use control j to place that selection on it's own layer.

Then you can drag that item from one photo to another photo.
