If your heads (or you heads) have cleared after the bus ride let's see how Byron's gals here can get a bit of a make-over. It just occurred to me that the only male statue has been poor Sonny....

Bill! That is hysterical! So subtle and yet so funny! Great job of getting rid of that 'third wheel!'

Steven - Oh, wow man! Thanks for that blast from the past! "Love American Style" was one of my favorite shows! Funny!

Sepiana - Great idea to give them some much needed color!

Mary Lou - Poor Sonny! We just can't let him rest in peace, can we?

David (who usually runs around unclothed) brought roses & chocolates to the ladies. Unfortunately, they seem somewhat aloof & disinterested. Maybe, they're waiting for Byron to come back.

In attempting to resize the image, I inadvertently clicked a menu option called "Divide Scanned Photos".

PSE came up with this:

Kind of intriguing, so I'm posting it. This software never ceases to amaze me!

Not sure why it's so big?? It's only 750 px wide, like the others...?

These girls are having big fun! I have no idea Val, why either of those things happened.

Initially I had colorized the statues but when I discovered that a colorized version had been posted (Sepiana's), I decided to keep going and create an OOB

All dressed up and Stepping Out:)

Byron - Thanks for a great photo
Val - Your 750 px EXTRA WIDE image is the most intriguing image posted for this week's EZ challenge - & just think, you didn't need to work at it!
Suzanne - Blurring the background makes a nice difference.
Rita - Your image is reminiscent of a classic, ancient mosaic.
Pat - The border is perfect for your Roman theme.
Lorri - Ladies are what the all-male band needed.
Pete - Nice Colors for "Stepping out in Vegas" !!

Hi Pete, I'm glad you continued with your colorization. I like your entry much more than I do mine. You went for all the works -- outfits, body, hair. I had trouble with the hair and gave up. Also, the OOB effect raised it another notch.

Thank you for the comments---- As for the skin tones and the hair colors, I used the following Color Charts by Bruce Beard (http://www.retouchpro.com/pages/colors.html). If you do not have these Swatches, you can load them into Elements---see the bottom of the linked page:)

Thanks for all of the nice comments! (And thanks for your comment, too, Kim :p)!!

While the ladies were dancing to rock music, they noticed that most of the bills were singles and called me a chiseler... and said I was taking them for granite.

This was concrete proof that they each had a heart of stone!
No amount of graveling would appease them!!
I was petrified!!!
I had never met boulder quarry!!!!

But after I bought them a couple quartz of booze, and told them they were marbleously statuesque, they didn't mined so much....

Hi,
I am new to the village and have been enjoying checking out all the neat stuff you do during my lunch! I just upgraded to PSE 5 from 3 and am still fairly new at it. I hope to work with it (assuming I get some time LOL) and can also participate in the challenges. :)

Well... I don't know whether this statue/fountain at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas was inspired by a real Roman work, but it certainly inspired a lot of interest, here!

Sepiana - I love the colors you chose for their clothing.

Steven - Thanks for reminding me about Love American Style! Sonny's grin seems to be a bit wider than I recall.

Mary Lou - You were kind to Sonny, as well... what a Valentine's Day present!

Bill - Masterful job of moving the arm, and constructing the background and leg.

Suzanne - Your blurred background gives it a kind of "fake miniature" look... nifty!

BJ - David certainly was given the cold shoulder... stone cold! But at least he didn't waste the opportunity to pose after the gals went on break.

Rita - You managed to get a great portrait of her.

Pat - the trio on top of the pillar makes the rest of the courtyard seem all the more empty.

Lorri - If those guys start singing "Man of Constant Sorrow", there's something wrong with them!! And the fellow playing the "bass" had better watch were he's poking that thing.

Val - I like the b/w mood! Amazing what PSE comes up with by "accident", too, isn't it?

Pete - Nice job with the skin tones! I'm convinced!!

Pat - That's what happens when you fail to get a model release...

Bob - Wow! The way you shaded the colors is just perfection. I enjoy the texture, too.

Marie - The gals must have studied abroad!! Looks like you've got the guy about ready to jump off the wall, too.

Thanks, Ellen, for choosing my picture as the Challenge theme -- and thanks to all who played along!!
