I'm ashamed to admit it but I am not a PC guru. I have Nikon Capture NX 1.2 and have not used it for say 6 months. All the photos taken during that period I have downloaded to my PC using Nikon Picture Project using the folder structure that I have already set up. Picture Project is the software that comes with NX and I always used this vs Adobe downloader. The only difference being that instead of opening up these photos in NX I open them up in Adobe Lightroom 2.0. So now I assume that the catalog is set up in LR and NX can't find it or does not recognize it. Yesterday I wanted to compare editing techniques between the two programs and when I go to open one of the photos in NX I get a error that says that you cannot do that. I tried all kinds of ways and get the same error msg. every time. I tried to export from LR to NX ( went to preferences and set NX as a external secondary editor) no good, fron Nikon Picture Project to NX ...No Good. I also went to the folder where it is on my PC high lighted (selected) the photo then right clicked >open up in> Nikon Capture NX ....No Good. Can any one help me see light at the end of my senior moment .
