1. Please give me your CC on the posters. Please don't sugar coat it, I need to see what you guys would do to make it better.
2. I'm trying to make a thin rectangle and fill it with a color(I know how to do that) but I want it to be solid on one end and dissolve going towards the other end. I've tried the gradient tools but I just can't seem to get it to work. Suggestions? I'm referring to the rectangle at the bottom of picture #2.

Cool posters. Re your question. One idea to try is on a new layer use the rectangle marque to draw a very thin long rectangle. Go to edit>fill selection. Next use a plug in mask or clip an adjustment layer mask to that layer and run the gradient on the mask itself.

tmalone893,
I like all three renditions!
The only area I'd like to see done differently is on the Devin Malone poster. The left and center images appear to have been distorted so that they are disproportionately narrow -- Devin looks "squished" sideways, to me. This can happen when "constrain proportions" is disabled during resizing -- trust me, I KNOW this! :D
I think you've made some really great mementos of the activities!!

If you are doing a lot of these as a commercial enterprise, you should consider full Photoshop with its Smart Objects functionality.

Thanks, I give it a try.

Thanks for the comments. I thought that the "constrain proportions" was check but I will make sure. The one on the left does look a little off to me as well.

What is "Smart Objects"?

Hi,
I have found that the check mark in the "keep proportion" box disappears when you use the middle adjustments handles.
It will work fine if you pull diagonally on the corners.
When you use the middle handles it will click off.
I upgraded from V3 to V5. Great I don't have to remember to hold shift all the time.
NOT! I was getting bloat and skinny --- took me a while to realize what was happening.
Check how this works in your Version of PSE.
