Hi,
I was experimenting with the different photo effects, and by mistake, trashed the "colorful center" effect. I searched your forums, and saw that others had done similar things, so I tried their fix, but still no luck.
I have elements 6, windows xp.
I renamed mediadatabase.db3 to mediadatabaseOLD.db3, then started PE6, and the effect wasn't back...any suggestions?
And yes, I now realize I wasn't trashing the photo with colorful center, but the actual effect, and yes, there was a "confirm"...I am just impatient, and silly, and now very frustrated with myself...but that is for another forum, you can't fix all of me here...
Thanks, Nancy

Hi Nancy ...

When you renamed mediadatabase.db3 to mediadatabaseOLD.db3 .. did you then restart Elements ??

Hi Wendy,

Yes, I then restarted Elements. It took awhile, and it said "building.." but the same two photo effects were there, and no colorful center.

Hi Nancy,

Try rebuilding the database again ... but whilst it is rebuilding don't click on anything at all.
It should work for you now.

Hi Pri,
I tried rebuilding, and didn't touch a thing. Still, no luck. I am guessing I have to uninstall, and then reinstall...what do you think?

Hi Nancy ...

It sounds like you may have trashed it from the folders ... do an uninstall and then a fresh install.

That should sort it out :)
