Hi - I am using PSE5.
I did selective color on this photo. I also changed the color of my daughter's shirt from blue to pink. If you look at the area between her right arm and the shirt, there is still a blue tint from the original shirt color. How do I remove this blue tint????? I've spent hours trying to figure this out, but nothing seems to do the trick.
I would greatly appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks,
Wendy

Try this:
On the original picture, use the eyedropper to select the blue of her shirt.
In the new picture make a layer at the top and fill it with the blue color; change the blend mode to color; now invert the layer (cntl-I). This layer should neutralize the blue tint.
Now the only thing you have to do is limit the neutralization to the areas you want to affect. In full photoshop you would add a mask, but no masks in PSE unless you've added Grant's Tools. So make a new blank layer below the color layer and group the color layer with it. Pick a soft brush and paint on this new layer in the areas you want neutralized.

I tried to desaturate Blue, but that did not have much of an effect. So, another way is to paint on a new layer set to Color. Sample the pink form the shirt and paint over the blueish tint. Also, sampling the color from her arm and painting with it over the leftmost part of the arm will help.

Hi Wendy,
You could try this:
> Select the area approximately where you see the blue tinge
> Select Enhance -> Adjust color -> Replace color
> Choose blue as the color to replace by selecting from the color picker
> Choose pink as replacement color
> Play around with fuzziness, hue saturation etc settings to get expected results.
Cheers,
