Can't import DNG photo file into iPhoto Library. Help, please.

I use Elements 6 for Mac. Today I processed a JPEG photo in Adobe Camera RAW and saved it to my desktop as a DNG file. When I attempted to import the photo into my iPhoto library the following message popped up on my monitor in a box titled Unreadable Files:

Unreadable Files: 1

The following file could not be imported. (The import failed.)

Following this information was the name of the DNG file I attempted to import.

Can anybody tell me what is going on here and what the solution might be? I have processed quite a few JPEGs in ACR and never had a problem importing the resulting DNG files into my iPhoto library until now.

What camera are you using, Bob? Is it possible you've got a newer model that isn't yet supported by iPhoto?

I imported a bunch of DNG files into iPhoto 08 and 09 saved with different settings from three cameras without any problems.

Can you open it back up in Photoshop Elements? (Just wondering if it got corrupted in some way.)
